Research Areas

functional classification and annotation of membrane proteins

          - statistical analysis of protein sequences and sequence-based features

(amino acid composition, topology information, multiple sequence alignments, physicochemical characteristics)

          - prediction of protein families and transported substrates using machine learning tools (a ranking method for small data sets)

modeling Quorum sensing and virulence factor formation in Pseudomonas aeruginosa

           - analysis of the signaling pathway by simulating combined regulatory and metabolic networks

           - to search for enzyme inhibitors or receptor antagonists that combat bacterial resistance

           - extended multi-level logical formalism
