Welcome

Chair of Computational Biology at the Saarland University

  • Our group is interested in studying the structure, dynamics, energetics, interactions, and mechanisms of biomolecules and subcellular systems.

  • Besides employing many existing methods from computational chemistry, theoretical biophysics and bioinformatics, we like to develop new methodology and software when needed.

  • The group offers lectures and seminars in the study programs of bioinformatics and biotechnology, see here.

  • Our studies benefit from having access to excellent computing facilities both locally as well as at national and international computing centers.
