Proton Transfer

Proton transfer is essential in many biological and chemical processes, e.g., in cellular proton pumps, in hydrogen fuel cells or in polymers. In our group we are developing methods and tools to study the dynamics and pathways of various proton transfer processes.

Q-HOP

Q-HOP

The Q-HOP method is a semi-quantitative approach to study proton transport in biomolecular systems. It can efficiently explore proton transfer paths e.g., in proteins that consisting of many subsequent transfer events.
